About

The Colfax Restoration Project was formed in June of 2017 by a group of people determined to revitalize and preserve the town of Colfax, Illinois. Through their efforts, and those in the community, over $100,000 has been raised, and invested into various projects on Main Street, near the school, and in the Town Park.  The work has only just begun, and with continued investment and volunteer commitment, the group and town will continue to honor the CRP’s slogan: Proud of our Past. Committed to our Future.

Some highlights of our efforts include:
- The revitalization of the “Red Wall Lot” on Main Street … into the “Colfax Plaza” with amazing murals and Colfax historical signs.

- “Welcome to Colfax” town signs on the 4 corners of Colfax

-  Refurbishment of the interior of the American Legion

- Refurbishment of Old Town Hall from a vacant building to the beautiful Aster + Indigo boutique shop

- A Main Street pavilion that’s in its early stages, but will serve as the future home of outdoor concerts, Farmers Markets and so much more
